Purnorup addresses two large, overlapping markets:
10M+ Bangladeshis working or living abroad. Many call their families daily using video and audio
apps.
80M+ Internet users in Bangladesh, with rapidly growing smartphone adoption.
Apps like imo are currently the default for international family communication, especially among
migrant workers and their families. We see a clear opportunity to offer a higher-quality, privacy-respecting
alternative.
Product - Mitro
Mitro is a communication and private social app available on Google Play. It combines:
- 1-to-1 audio and video calls - designed for clarity even on variable bandwidth.
- Private posts - share updates, photos, and thoughts only with your real circle.
- Chat and file sharing - supports PDF, DOCX, and other common formats.
The differentiator: Mitro has no public profiles and no public
discoverability. Users are in full control of who can contact them. The feed is not optimised for
engagement-bait; it is designed to show what friends actually share, free from manipulative, toxic algorithms.

Traction and Financial Projections
Mitro launched on Google Play and Publicly available from January 2026 and is already being used by real people.
282+ Installs on Google Play
1k+ calls, totaling over 300 hours
20k Target users by the end of 2026 (organic + Google Ads). All users sign in with Google, so
we expect high authenticity.
2027 Self-sufficiency - revenue is expected to cover expenses. We do not aim for profit in this
phase.
2028 EU expansion and profitability. We plan to enter the European market with our privacy-first
value proposition.
Current business model
Advertisement-centric, but non-personalised. We use a centralised ad system (similar to printed
newspaper): a single ad is shown to all users, or targeted only by broad geographic area.
Use of Funds
We are raising pre-seed capital. The proceeds will be allocated as follows:
- 50% - Infrastructure & Operations: server scaling, bandwidth optimisation, hosting, and
day-to-day operational costs.
- 40% - Marketing
- 5% - Product Development: ongoing feature development and product improvements.
- 5% - Expansion & Growth Initiatives
